Ugh, my weekend was... crazy. I'll leave it at that.
Not to mention I didn't get any studying done :(

On Thursday, I made reservations at Mamma Mia for me, JR, TJ, Rose, and Neill. My first time there (finally!) and it was pretty yummy. Josephine is not kidding about that italian guy cause he is crazy loud. My contact was bugging the crap out of me so I had to run next door to 7-11, buy contact solution, and a paper cup to soak my contact in. So I really was a one-eyed pirate.

After dinner, we made an impromptu visit to Red C Lounge cause Ron was spinning and Josephine was gonna meet up with us. Then we became major club heads and started club hopping?? WTH.. haha. Went to Visions, then to Thin, and ended up at Heat. Super random.

DELIRIOUS.

It's freezing. It's so early. Early enough that I witnessed the sun rising. I opened the coffee shop this morning all by my lonesome and I would periodically look out the windows to make sure there weren't any burglars, masked felons, or any other Michael Meyers look-alikes lurking in the shadows.

I've recently developed a new fear. When driving home by myself especially from JR's house at 2am (which is almost every day), at any red light, my heart starts racing thinking I'm going to get carjacked. I nervously glance all around me checking all my blind spots not once, but twice. I live a crazy life I guess.

I basically went from work to work. No breaks in my day and not one chance to close my eyes for a twenty minute power nap (which I'm probably notorious for nowadays, just falling asleep whenever life permits). After work yesterday, I showered and watched a little Gilmore Girls (btw, I've already finished season seven and totally missing new episodes. sadface). Went over to JR's, finished watching Friday Night Lights, and then ate lunch at Happy Tiger.

Christmas shopping day one: successful! We first went to Toys R Us because they were supposedly having a two-day mega sale, which ended at 10am but we got there mid-afternoon. Too late for good deals, but we came to get toys and we got toys. Then we went to North County cause we thought they still had a Discovery Channel store but it's been converted to a seasonal Christmas decorations store. Grrreat. Ended up finding a drum set for his nephew anyways. Then we went to Borders to stock up on reading material for his nieces, which they really asked for on their Christmas lists... Uncle JR wasn't trying to punish them. Last stop was Best Buy to buy a couple DS games for the girls and wah-lah! Dunzo.

Thought my day was almost over until we stopped by the workshop to visit the boyfriends' boyfriends. Almost went home to sleep, but decided to try and go eat dinner at Mammia Mia. Picked up Rose and waited for Neill. Made a couple side stops and then we heard from Josephine and she suggested going somewhere else because it was super busy. Went to Kabuki Sushi which worked out because we got too-fast, too-furious service. I love the boats! Ended the night early because I had work this morning and everyone went there separate ways. The End.

Ugh, so bored at work I could keep rambling. But maybe I shouldn't neglect my poor co-worker. Anyway, hope your Saturday was a good as mine and hope today is even better :)

LAZY BUM.

I have a midterm today that I'm not even close to being prepared for. A lab that is semi-finished that's due tonight. Do you do that too? Just kind of let things slide by and before you know it, it's the due date and you're way late. Ohh, laziness is a bitch.

I was at JR's last night surfing the channels and I was bummed that he didn't have movies on demand because nowadays, tv shows are crappy. And I just wanted to watch a good movie. Then I caught Armageddon while it was just starting. HAHA! This movie is soooo dumb, but I just couldn't stop watching it. It had been so long since I've last seen, I couldn't remember anything except for the ending. Oh well, it consumed a good two-hour chunk of time.

So I was looking at degree audits last night and I've always thought about minoring in Political Science. Haha, not because I'm so into it but just because I've almost got enough credits for it. I just need two more classes and I'll be graduating as major in General Biology and minor in Political Science. Weird huh!? But kinda cool, I think! I dunno we'll see...

Well, gotta get started on my day. Even if I've been up since 8am.

TO GO TO SCHOOL, OR NOT!?

Dilemma, dilemma. School's quickly approaching the end and I've only got a couple weeks of school left. So should I go to unimportant classes? Classes I've managed to survive with zero attendance? Or should I just go cause I only have 2 weeks left and I might as well? Ohhh man. Life is hard. Haha.

Anyway Thanksgiving happens to be one of my MOST FAVORITE HOLIDAYS. (but really, how many other holidays could possibly be your favorite besides this and Christmas??) I love, love, love Thanksgiving food! Turkey and Prime Rib! OMG to die for. And it's the bomb at my house. I already requested they make prime rib for my birthday. Ha.

Friends Thanksgiving was great too. Salad was a hit! Corn soup too! HAHA, I swear if I hear one more person say, "YOU MADE THE SALAD???" I'm going to pinch you. And since when did I become tagged as the-girl-who-can't-cook?? I think if I put my mind to it, I could. And that saying really applies to anything in life. Anyways, the party was a hit. No need for details because you were most likely there.

I did a little Black Friday shopping with my sister at 4am. HAHA ridiculous I know. But she scored a ton of stuff, mainly for the twins. I only went to keep the pregnant lady company. And speaking of pregnant, I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS THE SEX OF MY SISTER'S BABY!! (haha well, besides jr & my mom.. the two people i told) Let's just say I can't wait to have another little baby running around the house.

Did you know today is Cyber Monday? A bunch of online deals at various websites. I'm gonna try and get all the nieces/nephews (including jr's) presents today at toysrus.com, I hear there are some swell deals.

Gonna shower now. And then debate whether or not I should go to school. Maybe shopping instead? Haha ohgawd.

SATURDAY:
We drove up to LA later than I had planned, so we skipped shopping at Spectrum to go to LA. Our hotel was great. Modern, chic.. whatevers. The people who work there were very cool too. We even got a six pack of beer with our registration. Haha, like okaaaay thanks. Only bummer was the internet didn't work. And there's only half a shower door?? Haha.

Ate dinner in Tokyo town. Tried to find this one Japanese restaurant we went to last time, but everything looks the same. Dinner was still good though. Loved the area cause it was like we were in Japan or something. Even had a Pinkberry there. Too bad it's too cold for yogurt.

BULLS vs. CLIPPERS was the bomb. Yeah Bulls played a great game and won, but our seats were AMAAAAZING! Sooo freaking close. Center court is really the only way to go besides courtside. It was great. We could hear the players talk, what the coaches were yelling, I don't know it was just soooo cool.

SUNDAY:
Woke up early to go to Beverly Center. H&M is a great store in theory, but damn I never find good shit. Went over to the Fairfax street market and found some good vintage finds. I even saw the girl from Brothers & Sisters, the step-sister. Starstruck! Went back to the hotel to check out and then walked to Staples Center (our hotel was only like 2 blocks away). We went early cause we heard the AMAs were across the street at Nokia Center so we thought there was going to be a lot of traffic. Good thing we came early cause we got to see some celebrites get out of their limos. We saw Rihanna, Fabolous, Slash, anddd some people would come out but we were like, who's dat?!

BULLS vs. LAKERS was fun just cause it was my first Lakers game. They do way more shit than they do for the Clippers, kinda sad... Clippers should just move. Our seats were in section 301 so we were way up high. Super sad especially when we had just sat courtside. It was kinda hard to tell who was who but it's just as fun I guess.

I wish I had known that the Lakers played the Pistons on Friday cause then we coulda watched 3 games instead of 2. I wanna watch a Pistons game and go to a Golden State Warriors home game. I'd be down to fly to Chicago, but not this season when they're freaking 2-7.

So, our weekend was fantastic. And a great mini-vacay. Now back to reality.

Cause here I come! OMG it's finally fucking Friday. This week has been super stressful, but it's over. Well after 3pm that is. I had the most ridiculous homework assignment for my metabolic class. Like each question I was stumped (didn't help that Run's House was on in the background distracting me though). Sooo since it's due today at 3pm I went to an earlier section just right now and the TA went over all the freaking questions. Haha so I just copied everything down and when he asked the class to turn it in, I just left! HAHA suckah.


I'm gonna try and study all day and maybe go out for Anabel's birthday (btw, happy birthday). Maybe or maybe not! We'll seeeeeee. Cheers to the weekend folks!

WRECKLESS LOVE.

So I met with an academic advisor today to make sure I'm on track with graduating this year. Turns out I have to take a lower-division biology class that I wasn't even aware of?? Wtf. Why don't they alert you on this shiiittt? Whatevs. On the bright side, I only have to take one lab because apparently a lab I once took at Miramar counts as my upper division lab. Sounds great to me! Sooo I have the option of cranking it out and taking like 4 classes each quarter plus 1 lab and graduating this spring or just take a class in the summer and walk this spring. My advisor suggested I just take one in the summer because my lab will be ridiculously hard. Decisions, decisions. Either way, I'M DUNZOOOOOO.

I have a midterm tonight and then I have to study for my midterm on Tuesday since I'll be gone all weekend. Let's see if that really happens. I'll probably study at home so I can watch GG season 7 :)

I'm sure you're sick of hearing about school so let me see what else I can come up with. Killah Bees killed the MM team last night. Sweet victory! Have you ever seen a 6'3 (or however tall TK is) guy flip head over heels and land flat on the floor? Well, we saw TK do it last night. It was bananas! He was laying there for a few seconds not moving and that's when we really started to worry. Like, OH SHIT. And his body was all nuts, like his arm look dislocated. But he eventually got back up and it looked painful. Good to see you on your feet brah!

I bought the Alicia Keys cd the other day and it's really good. Track number 7 "Wreckless Love" is my absolute favorite! Like I'll put that shit on repeat and turn it up. I used to not like her during her braids-days but once she started having Mos Def and Method Man in her videos, she started to grow on me. So be a douche bag and download it.

Well the time I allotted for internet activity is over! Gotta hit the books. Think about me at 5pm and wish me luck on my midterm! I'll need it, genetics is a bitch.

VETERANS DAY.

I normally dread Mondays, but not today. Because MONDAY is going to be FUNDAY. Why? No school and no work! Although I do have 2 midterms to study for (Wednesday & Thursday) I think I can have a little fun in the daytime.

Ugh nevermind, FUNDAY no longer exists. Everyone who matters has work! WTF.

Sooooo tomorrow is going to be the best-day-ever! GILMORE GIRLS SEASON 7 out on dvd, in stores tomorrow! OMG I think I'm gonna go to the 24-hour Wal-Mart and see if they have it out at midnight. I'm sure I won't be the only person do so. There will probably be a long line, out the door, massive crowds in the parking lot, and I'll probably be on the morning news. HAHA.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. Seriously, time flies. Are we having another big thanksgiving dinner, friends? That was fun. I looove Thanksgiving food. Crispy turkey skin and yummy prime rib... delicious. Then next thing you know, it's Christmas. And thennnn, my birthday haha.

CARDIGAN WEATHER.

Weekend was chilly chills! (haha eww) ANYWAY, I had work at 7AM both Saturday and Sunday so that meant I had to be in bed by 11pm, if not by 12 at the very latest. On Friday, me-Apes-Rhoda went to PF Changs. Yummy dinner (thanks Apes!) and even yummier martinis. (ps. Joyce, I drank 2 of them! proud?) I swear I thought I was going to starve to death by the looks of the waiting line. Who eats dinner at 9pm?? Well, plenty of people do as did we. But we were fine once we got seats at the bar and ordered martinis like civilized women. Sooo mature. HAHA. 3 hours of eating and chatting passed by and we were practically the last group there.

Saturday I had work, went to church with my dad, and then over to JR's. Got a new XBOX360 since I apparently "broke" his original one. Oh well, thank goodness for Best Buy's product replacement warranty. Woke up for work, did my usual Sunday stuff, and then over to JR's again.

OMG Sunday night television is SO FREAKING GOOD. 8PM The Amazing Race. This show is AMAZING, for lack of better adjectives. I hope the asian dad & daughter couple win the whole shabang. I swear I was crying at the end when they interviewed him. Sooo sweet. Old people are my number one cry factors. Especially since this old asian dad reminds me of my dad. WAAAAH practically tearing up as I type this. HAHA. 10PM Brothers & Sisters and 1030PM Kim Kardashian's show (not that this is good television, but it is entertaining).

Oh yeah and NOVEMBER 17TH & 18TH, me and JR are having an LA weekend. Trendy hotel room and back-to-back BULLS GAMES. Center court here we come! YAAAAY :) I am very very excited

Okay so since I've last updated, the fires went buck wild, we were evacuated, school was closed, and I was bored out of my mind at my brother's house! Thank God for being back at home.

Ugh so since school was closed last week (4th week), all my midterms got pushed back to this week. I had 2 today, 1 on Thursday, a lab due tomorrow, and a quiz on Friday. AAAH I HATE SCHOOL! Not to mention I'm taking 22 units which is overtime for me. Probably gonna drop a class before Friday so that'll be much better. Death to UCSD will be my tattoo if I ever get one.

Halloween was soooo. much. fun! My last minute costume idea turned out great except I forgot to wear my eye patch most of the night. Hey, you try walking around the dark with a one eye handicap. It ain't easy. Bestfriend was sooooo FADED, I can't help but laugh out loud every time I look at pictures. I LOVE IT! Great to see that she had a great time (minus losing the camera, but hey yer gonna get it back anyways). Thank you Brother Bear for bottle service (grey goose & coke ain't so bad, haha) and thank you friends for fun times. I'll always carry Halloween '07 memories with me (since it's been burned into my hand by a cigarette! ouch!!)

DRY EYES.

Smoky the Bear is making an appearance today. All the wildfires are driving me nuts! It is so dang smoky outside and reeks of ash. Yuck. When I went to school today, the wind was making my eyes completely dry and they started to sting. I finally had to cover my face with a huge text book to prevent further dry-eye.

Yes I went to school.. on a Sunday. Complete waste of time if you ask me. Came to a midterm review session and my TA's weren't very helpful. That or nothing makes sense to me. I hate school very-very much. Let me reiterate how ecstatic I'll be when I'm finally DUNZO. O-Chem midterm tomorrow. Metabolic Biochem and Genetics midterm on Tuesday. Wish me luck & keep me in your prayers please.

Last week, the 'sneak preview crew' (tj's words) went to go watch a sneak preview of GONE BABY GONE. This movie was ridiculously GOOD. Like by far one of the best movies I've seen this year. I was rooting for Casey Affleck the whole time. Not to mention one of my top threes, Morgan Freeman! OMG love him to death. Any movie he's in, I'm there.

Also watched THE DARJEELING LIMITED, JR's choice. It was okay. I liked it enough to say I didn't hate it. Does that make sense? Adrien Brody is the bomb in any movie so that was a plus. But Jason Schwartzman annoys the heck out of me so much so that it affects my judgment. JR's into underground-cool, artsy-fartsy, indie movies whereas I'm a mystery-solving, action-packed, thriller kind of gal. Could we be any more opposite? But I'm still open to any movie.

AM I REALLY UP THIS EARLY??

Yeah I am. Believe it or not I don't have school till noontime and here I am, 8am and blogging. HA, who does that? I woke up only because my mom's alarm clock was going off and it would not quit. She was downstairs so there was no one else to turn it off but me. And have you tried to sleep through and alarm?? It's humanly impossible!! That incessant EHH EHH EHH EHH EHH EHH... really how do you sleep through that?

Anyway I blogged last week that I was having a bad day.. well, bad day turned into BAD MONTH! Seriously, October is in first place for my least favorite month this year. I'm sorry biffy, but it is. All in a span of one week, everything that could go wrong with my car... went wrong.

1 I don't remember when, but leaving JR's house at 3AM and my car doesn't start. Tried turning the key several times and it doesn't work. Thinking we're going to have to jumpstart my car, I look in my trunk and no jumper cables (they're in my dad's car). Argh. JR drops me off and early next morning, we take my car to hillcrest (where my dad knows the guy) and the car guy says it's my battery. So I have to buy a new one :[

2 Parking at UCSD is horrible. Probably not as bad as State because it seems like you guys can't park anywhere close to your classes, whereas we Tritons can. That is if you have a red/green parking permit (meaning you're a professor or someone who works at the school). I'm usually running late for my classes and don't have the time to wait around for a spot to open so it's either find a meter and pay more money or practically miss class because I'm driving around looking for decent parking. Yeah we do have shuttle service, but I HATE THE SHUTTLE. I refuse to take it. So with that said I've exhausted all my parking options.

EXCEPT!!! I know George. George works at Shiley Eye Center. He has a green permit. LIGHTBULB! Gimmie, gimmie George. Anyway, George ends up telling his work that he lost his, he's granted another one, and he gives me his old one. I'm thinking I'm in the clear. Great parking for the rest of the year!! WRONG! Just last week I got a huge sign on my windshield saying "Notice of Surrender" along with a $300 parking ticket for a "stolen" permit. What.the.fack. Three bills down the drain. Argh.

3 On Friday, I'm leaving JR's house in the wee hours of the morning and hear this thump-thump-thumping noise. I pull over and what do I see??? A FREAKING FLAT TIRE. Why, why, why, why, why??? I just bought four new tires in June. I have to leave my car at JR's AGAIN and take his truck home. Came back the next day, his dad takes off the flat, puts on the spare and guess what... MY SPARE IS FLAT TOO. Hahahhaa ohhh gad. Long story short, I get my flat repaired and JR puts it back on for me.

And that is the end of my car troubles, for now at least. KNOCK ON WOOD. I seriously have the worst luck ever. Something always goes wrong for me. I mean it.
