VETERANS DAY.

I normally dread Mondays, but not today. Because MONDAY is going to be FUNDAY. Why? No school and no work! Although I do have 2 midterms to study for (Wednesday & Thursday) I think I can have a little fun in the daytime.

Ugh nevermind, FUNDAY no longer exists. Everyone who matters has work! WTF.

Sooooo tomorrow is going to be the best-day-ever! GILMORE GIRLS SEASON 7 out on dvd, in stores tomorrow! OMG I think I'm gonna go to the 24-hour Wal-Mart and see if they have it out at midnight. I'm sure I won't be the only person do so. There will probably be a long line, out the door, massive crowds in the parking lot, and I'll probably be on the morning news. HAHA.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. Seriously, time flies. Are we having another big thanksgiving dinner, friends? That was fun. I looove Thanksgiving food. Crispy turkey skin and yummy prime rib... delicious. Then next thing you know, it's Christmas. And thennnn, my birthday haha.

Ok well I'm going to finish watching season 6 so I'm fully refreshed and ready to watch season 7. You think I'm joking, but I kid you not. Have a good day whether you're at work or bummin it like me. the end.

CARDIGAN WEATHER.

Weekend was chilly chills! (haha eww) ANYWAY, I had work at 7AM both Saturday and Sunday so that meant I had to be in bed by 11pm, if not by 12 at the very latest. On Friday, me-Apes-Rhoda went to PF Changs. Yummy dinner (thanks Apes!) and even yummier martinis. (ps. Joyce, I drank 2 of them! proud?) I swear I thought I was going to starve to death by the looks of the waiting line. Who eats dinner at 9pm?? Well, plenty of people do as did we. But we were fine once we got seats at the bar and ordered martinis like civilized women. Sooo mature. HAHA. 3 hours of eating and chatting passed by and we were practically the last group there.

Saturday I had work, went to church with my dad, and then over to JR's. Got a new XBOX360 since I apparently "broke" his original one. Oh well, thank goodness for Best Buy's product replacement warranty. Woke up for work, did my usual Sunday stuff, and then over to JR's again.

OMG Sunday night television is SO FREAKING GOOD. 8PM The Amazing Race. This show is AMAZING, for lack of better adjectives. I hope the asian dad & daughter couple win the whole shabang. I swear I was crying at the end when they interviewed him. Sooo sweet. Old people are my number one cry factors. Especially since this old asian dad reminds me of my dad. WAAAAH practically tearing up as I type this. HAHA. 10PM Brothers & Sisters and 1030PM Kim Kardashian's show (not that this is good television, but it is entertaining).

Oh yeah and NOVEMBER 17TH & 18TH, me and JR are having an LA weekend. Trendy hotel room and back-to-back BULLS GAMES. Center court here we come! YAAAAY :) I am very very excited

Okay so since I've last updated, the fires went buck wild, we were evacuated, school was closed, and I was bored out of my mind at my brother's house! Thank God for being back at home.

Ugh so since school was closed last week (4th week), all my midterms got pushed back to this week. I had 2 today, 1 on Thursday, a lab due tomorrow, and a quiz on Friday. AAAH I HATE SCHOOL! Not to mention I'm taking 22 units which is overtime for me. Probably gonna drop a class before Friday so that'll be much better. Death to UCSD will be my tattoo if I ever get one.

Halloween was soooo. much. fun! My last minute costume idea turned out great except I forgot to wear my eye patch most of the night. Hey, you try walking around the dark with a one eye handicap. It ain't easy. Bestfriend was sooooo FADED, I can't help but laugh out loud every time I look at pictures. I LOVE IT! Great to see that she had a great time (minus losing the camera, but hey yer gonna get it back anyways). Thank you Brother Bear for bottle service (grey goose & coke ain't so bad, haha) and thank you friends for fun times. I'll always carry Halloween '07 memories with me (since it's been burned into my hand by a cigarette! ouch!!)

DRY EYES.

Smoky the Bear is making an appearance today. All the wildfires are driving me nuts! It is so dang smoky outside and reeks of ash. Yuck. When I went to school today, the wind was making my eyes completely dry and they started to sting. I finally had to cover my face with a huge text book to prevent further dry-eye.

Yes I went to school.. on a Sunday. Complete waste of time if you ask me. Came to a midterm review session and my TA's weren't very helpful. That or nothing makes sense to me. I hate school very-very much. Let me reiterate how ecstatic I'll be when I'm finally DUNZO. O-Chem midterm tomorrow. Metabolic Biochem and Genetics midterm on Tuesday. Wish me luck & keep me in your prayers please.

Last week, the 'sneak preview crew' (tj's words) went to go watch a sneak preview of GONE BABY GONE. This movie was ridiculously GOOD. Like by far one of the best movies I've seen this year. I was rooting for Casey Affleck the whole time. Not to mention one of my top threes, Morgan Freeman! OMG love him to death. Any movie he's in, I'm there.

Also watched THE DARJEELING LIMITED, JR's choice. It was okay. I liked it enough to say I didn't hate it. Does that make sense? Adrien Brody is the bomb in any movie so that was a plus. But Jason Schwartzman annoys the heck out of me so much so that it affects my judgment. JR's into underground-cool, artsy-fartsy, indie movies whereas I'm a mystery-solving, action-packed, thriller kind of gal. Could we be any more opposite? But I'm still open to any movie.

AM I REALLY UP THIS EARLY??

Yeah I am. Believe it or not I don't have school till noontime and here I am, 8am and blogging. HA, who does that? I woke up only because my mom's alarm clock was going off and it would not quit. She was downstairs so there was no one else to turn it off but me. And have you tried to sleep through and alarm?? It's humanly impossible!! That incessant EHH EHH EHH EHH EHH EHH... really how do you sleep through that?

Anyway I blogged last week that I was having a bad day.. well, bad day turned into BAD MONTH! Seriously, October is in first place for my least favorite month this year. I'm sorry biffy, but it is. All in a span of one week, everything that could go wrong with my car... went wrong.

1 I don't remember when, but leaving JR's house at 3AM and my car doesn't start. Tried turning the key several times and it doesn't work. Thinking we're going to have to jumpstart my car, I look in my trunk and no jumper cables (they're in my dad's car). Argh. JR drops me off and early next morning, we take my car to hillcrest (where my dad knows the guy) and the car guy says it's my battery. So I have to buy a new one :[

2 Parking at UCSD is horrible. Probably not as bad as State because it seems like you guys can't park anywhere close to your classes, whereas we Tritons can. That is if you have a red/green parking permit (meaning you're a professor or someone who works at the school). I'm usually running late for my classes and don't have the time to wait around for a spot to open so it's either find a meter and pay more money or practically miss class because I'm driving around looking for decent parking. Yeah we do have shuttle service, but I HATE THE SHUTTLE. I refuse to take it. So with that said I've exhausted all my parking options.

EXCEPT!!! I know George. George works at Shiley Eye Center. He has a green permit. LIGHTBULB! Gimmie, gimmie George. Anyway, George ends up telling his work that he lost his, he's granted another one, and he gives me his old one. I'm thinking I'm in the clear. Great parking for the rest of the year!! WRONG! Just last week I got a huge sign on my windshield saying "Notice of Surrender" along with a $300 parking ticket for a "stolen" permit. What.the.fack. Three bills down the drain. Argh.

3 On Friday, I'm leaving JR's house in the wee hours of the morning and hear this thump-thump-thumping noise. I pull over and what do I see??? A FREAKING FLAT TIRE. Why, why, why, why, why??? I just bought four new tires in June. I have to leave my car at JR's AGAIN and take his truck home. Came back the next day, his dad takes off the flat, puts on the spare and guess what... MY SPARE IS FLAT TOO. Hahahhaa ohhh gad. Long story short, I get my flat repaired and JR puts it back on for me.

And that is the end of my car troubles, for now at least. KNOCK ON WOOD. I seriously have the worst luck ever. Something always goes wrong for me. I mean it.

FELLOW COMMUTERS.

Don't speed on or anywhere near the 56 freeway! Man yesterday I saw 3 people get pulled over and it almost happened to me. Coming home from my morning class and on the phone with JR, I spot a motorcycle cop to the side hiding in the shrubs. As soon as me and this beamer drive by the cop stashes his speed detector and goes off on his bike. I say to JR "Oh shit. I think I'm getting pulled over." In addition to me speeding, he probably caught me on the phone and was going to send me to jail. Anyway, I drive on.. of course slowing down tremendously (because that's not obvious). Speeding bike cop behind me flashes his lights but pulls ahead and gets the guy in front of me! YAAY. I just cheated death. Definitely do not need a speeding ticket on top of all my previous tickets.

I went to the dentist this morning. I had two cavities therefore I got two fillings. He gave me some novacaine and it's still numb. My left side of my lip is lifeless and I can feel it all the way up to my nose. Crazy feeling. Haha too bad me and my mom got McDonald's right after. So much for my cleaning. I don't care. I HATE THE DENTIST.

Anyway first week of October is always hectic for me. April and my mom's birthday. Two very important people who get very important presents. And then my dad's birthday in a couple weeks. October? More like Broketober.

HYPOGLYCEMIA, OHMY!

School so far is going well. I added another class (physics) so now my schedule is very, very busy. On top of my original class schedule, you can add physics MWF 12-1250pm and physics lab W 6-750PM. Thanks to George, my grubby little hands got hold of a.. tah-daaaah, B (GREEN) PARKING PERMIT. A huge step up from student parking that's fa sho. Love it, just gotta be careful. Don't want to get caught with a 'stolen' permit.

Other than school, life is peachy keen. Yesterday I gave a homeless man some food from Burger King. He was at the intersection of Black Mountain and Mira Mesa Blvd. He said God Bless you and limped across the road to eat at the bus stop. It was nice. I've always wanted to give something to the guy who stands all day on the middle divider.

Oh yeah. Me and the mans got center court tickets to clippers vs. bulls November 17th. Woot woot. I've always wanted to sit this close and we got ems. Probably gonna make a weekend out of it and watch the bulls play the lakers the next night. Probably not so close since laker tickets are a gajillion dollars.

So tomorrow is my first day of school. Gosh it's been soooo long. Summer vacation was very long and very fun! So I'm glad I just chilled and whateverrr. Anyway my fall quarter is gonna be a toughie. So I really gotta get down with the textbooks (but I think I say that every quarter). So wish me luck.

CUP O NOODLES HITS THE SPOT.

We had so much at DISNEYLAND! We left around 830AM and on our way up it started to rain really hard. I looked out the window, crossed my fingers, and hoped for it to stop. As soon as we got to Disneyland it stopped! I must have witch powers. We had really good timing with the rain because when we stopped to eat lunch it started raining. And when we were finished, it stopped raining! It wasn't crowded at all. Space Mountain had a wait time of 15 minutes. The shortest I've ever seen it! Basically did all of Disneyland, even the kiddie rides for the young bucks. We rode on Finding Nemo after a 30 minute wait and that ride so did not live up to its hype. I almost fell asleep (granted it was 11pm and we were all really tired). I don't know, I've just never been into cartoon movies so I guess I'm not into cartoon rides. Anyway left the park around midnight, back to our hotel, and crashed.

Next day Jr's mom wanted to go eat at the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney, which was pretty nice cause I've never been to Downtown Disney. And now I know why. Cause there's nothing there! Jr watched the game on the ESPN zone big screen while I munched on a churro. Churros are sooooo good at Disneyland/CA Adventures. I ate like 5, haha. On the way home we stopped by South Coast Plaza and it was busy-busy-busy you'd think it was Christmas season.

Now I'm here at work. Radio station tuned to 80s, but then Nelly Furtado just came on so maybe it's not eighties. Anyhoo. Have a good day. Godspeed.

SICKOPHANT!

I woke up this morning feeling awfully sick. Slight fever, body aching, stuffy/runny nose. You know, all the usual symptoms. Thought I felt okay enough to work but I milked the "sick voice," called my boss, she believed it... so here I am. On a Thursday afternoon, at home when I was scheduled to be at work, ahhhh.. so nice to just be at home.

There are several things I love about the upcoming fall season. (wait, is it already fall?) Anyway, I like fall fashion that's fa sho. Peacoats, jackets, sweaters, long sleeves, crisp jeans, scarves, long tights etc. Although I do love spring/summer season the best, fall marks the end of hot-hot weather. And boy, was this summer a hot one. So bring on the gloomy skies and cold weather! I'm ready for it!

But you know what I truly love about fall??? NEW TV SHOWS!!! Yesssss. My weekly schedule is so jam packed with new episodes, I'm so excited. I love good tv. So here's what I'll be watching or dvr-ing (thanks to jr):

FREEKEND!

This weekend will be fantastic because on Saturday I'm going to Disneyland and I'm planning to use my free day hopper tickets. On Sunday, I think Mackey's gonna hook it up with one day passes to Street Scene @ Coors Ampitheatre. Venue sucks, but guess who's performing!! The Killers and who could forget, T.I.

Everything is so much better when it's FREE!

Woodstock was of course, the party of the year. Free booze and cupcakes are so yums. I couldn't fall asleep till 530am that night because of this nauseous feeling I had in the pit of my stomach. So I got out of bed and threw up. And it was sweet dreams after that. Haha.

So my boss is pretty chill about changing the music at work. I usually have it on 80's or Reggae. It makes work go by so much faster and just that much more enjoyable. Too bad our soda is flat as hell.

I start school next week on the 27th. God I can't wait to be DUNZO with school. All you lucky a-holes that don't have to study, find parking, take tests/notes... color me green and call me jealous. I think I will cry when I finally graduate because it's been a long time coming maaaan. Can't wait :]

SUP SUP BUTTERCUP.

Last night's loss was brutal. I seriously have never hated someone as much as I hate FAM. Uncle number 10 really makes my blood boil. He truly is the Oscar winner for best dramatics cause that guy is such a huge liar. I swear he practices at home, just flinging himself on the floor in order to perfect his performance at any game. And then there's the ugly dark ass sons who talk so much shit. URGH. Fist pumping and chest pounding is the worst! Rhoda and Jenny were so loud and so funny. My blood pressure was rising too. HAHA.

The other day while shopping in PB by myself, I walked by this billboard that said $45 (cheep, cheep) massage at the School of Healing Arts right above Buffalo Exchange. I have always wanted to try this so I randomly decided to do it since I had some free time that day. Haha, super spontaneous but so gratifying. Massage was fabulous. So fabulous I fell asleep! HAHA! Can't wait to go again. Always nice to pamper yourself yah know. Let's go again =)

HEADACHE.

Just got off work, thinking I would have a couple relaxing hours before the game.. but I suddenly got this throbbing headache! Like, no joke, it is pounding. Hopefully it goes away since I just popped in two extra strength tylenol pills. I love pain medication.

Well, I can check off "Find costume for Anniversary Party" off my list as of yesterday. Finished tie dying my tshirt, got my head gear, and accessories. I'm good to go and I, along with everyone else in this blogworld, can't wait for the party!

Should get some rest before heading out. Playing our arch nemesis: Team Elegado. Hate those punks. GOOD LUCK BOYS! GIVE IT TO THEM GOOOOOD. I want to see them cry. Especially the ugly son. HAHA so mean.

What's The Good Word?

Well let's see.

I watched Nanny Diaries on Saturday. Laaaame-o. Not a huge Scarlett Johanssen fan. Instead of going to the Labor Day barbecue and sweating like a mug, I went out for the best option: watching a movie. Comfy seats and air conditioning! We watched Halloween. I thought it was one of the better remakes of Michael Myers. Rob Zombie directed it and this guy is into some sick shit. More gruesome, less scary. And since when is Michael 7ft tall?? I like watching scary movies for some odd reason! I get a kick out of it :)

On Sunday I went to Sea World with Jr and his family. When we got there the parking lot was so packed and then we realized it was a blackout date for Fun Cards. Sucks cause me and Jr couldn't get into free, but his Mom bought us tickets. I was sad that she had to pay 90 bucks especially since we already planned on leaving early, but hey thanks anyways Auntie. I love free stuff!! Of course it was hot as hell and suuuuuuper butt-packed. And everywhere I went, I could smell all the stinky, sweaty people who apparently have never heard of this divine invention called DEODORANT! Jeezus.

Other than that, nothing much is new. Seems to be getting cooler so that's a definite plus. Oh yah did anyone watch the season finale of Entourage? They just scored 20 more cool points because they played Nu Shooz in the background. Woot woot for favorite songs! Oh and what the eff am I wearing to Willy and Shalihe's anniversary party? Aaaah, thrift stores.
