Just My Luck.

I am having the worst luck ever!!

Last night, on my way to Jr's I dropped my phone in the garage and it split open and I couldn't find my freaking battery!! It was nowhere to be found. I think it may have slid under our storage cabinets, but it'll be way too hard to retrieve. GRR! So my phone is out of commission, but I'll most likely get a new battery/phone ASAP.

Then today after eating lunch at Subway PQ, we had extra time to kill before Jr had to go to work so I was like, hey let's go to the phone store and look at new phones. And if not, there's always Radio Shack to look for a battery. So we drive over and I spot the Cycle Centre next to the phone place and I'm like, yaay let's go look at bikes too. We park and started walking towards the store first passing what used to be Radio Shack. They're definitely closed and under renovation or something. So I'm like whatever, let's go to Cricket phone place. We get there and they're closed! BOO! Go next door to Cycle Centre and THEY'RE CLOSED TOO!! WTH maaan. I never get my way..

Argh.

Anyway, I normally don't like canned food. Like Spam, tuna, vienna hot dogs.. whatever. It's gross, food doesn't belong in a can, and yeh.. it's just straight nasty. So I've always been turned aways from tuna especially because I don't even like fish. But since it's Lent season and you can't eat meat on Fridays, I decided to try a tuna sub because a veggie sandwich is not going to satisfy my hunger. And whatdoyahknow! I LIKED IT! So since the beginning of Lent, me and Jr have gone to Subway every Friday and shared a footlong tuna sub. Tunalicious.

Hello again.

What's new with me:
1 We've been eating ice cream a lot lately. Double scoops of cookies & cream and chocolate malted crunch from Rite Aid. Sooo satisfying in this hot-like-fiyah weather.

2 I've slept over at Jr's these past couple days and he has the strangest sleeping habits. He stays up till 4-5am, eats junk food around 2-3am, surfs the net constantly, and can read without falling asleep. I cannot keep up with this guy.

3 He's also convinced me to do all things google-related. Google Reader lets you consolidate all the blogs you read onto one page and lets you know when a person updates (although it hasn't been showing me updates consistently). Nevertheless, I like consolidating everything into one. Also, I tried personalizing my Google homepage by adding tons of crap. Like the news, weather, and games. Bad idea cause I am completely addicted to Flood It and Pac Man (how do you not pass the first level of pac man?!! honestly..)

4 I watched my first episode of Pussycat Dolls and I like Anastasia minus the big hair. And what's up with all these signature good-bye sayings common to all reality tv game shows. "Hang up your feather boa." "Steven, please pack up your knives." "Omarosa, you're fired!" "Your journey ends here." So stupid, yet I still watch it :\

5 Going to South Coast with moms on Saturday and then going to Sea World with Jr! Get us a fun card and go all year for freeeee. Hope it's good weather.

6 Finals week, next week :( Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday. Pretty spaced out, I just gotta STUDY-STUDY-STUDY!!

Last Thursday we went to Balboa Park to check out the Annie Leibovitz exhibit. 94.9 was hosting a party and we drank martinis and beer. I like being drunk at a museum.. classy.

Is what I shouted in Jr's ear this morning when I stopped by before work. Haha. And yesss I am working today. Argh!! Sucks but I'm gonna leave early, it's just my coworker doesn't know it yet. Muahaha.

Yaaaay it's my 22 + 1 Birthday. I thought you all forgot :[ But this day is turning out to be a really GREAT one. At midnight, I was at Jr's house finishing my poli sci paper due today. I DVRed The Hills and we ate pizza. Dude, I hate that Spencer guy. And Heidi is the worst friend ever next to Jen Bunney (the brunette with the ugliest nose ever!) I saw at Target they have The Hills Season 1 Special Edition. Haha I'm about to go buy that with some birthday mahney, yup!

Thank you for all the phone calls, text messages, and emails. I have great friends who really know how to make a girl feel special. And an even sweeter boyfriend because we're going to Ruth Chris tonight for dindins, woot-woot.

Daily Routine

So my daily routine consists of waking up and logging onto my computer. I don't know why I do it, it's just reflex. No, I don't jump right out of bed and shower. I check my gmail and my school email, hoping for interesting emails of any sort. Usually the best ones are notifying me that class is canceled. But that rarely ever happens. Then I try and read the MSN news headlines. Newspapers aren't my thing, they make my fingerprints dirty. 5PM news won't work either because I'm never home. So internet will just have to suffice my needs.

Going along with my daily routine, I read that this 12 year old boy named Deamonte died from a toothache because the bacteria from the tooth spread to his brain. How doctors/dentists let it spread so far, who knows? His family doesn't have dental insurance and officials say that a routine $80 tooth extraction could have saved him. What is wrong with the world today? Anyway, you can read it here.

I've been looking for these Marc Jacobs charity tshirts that have naked celebs posing. I want the one of Selma Blair. But you know which one I really want?? The one with BRANDON BOYD. HAHA! He has a bulldog covering his junk but still a pretty cool tshirt to own if you ask me. In stores, they were about $20-$30, but on Ebay?? A Benjamin. And if they're for charity, why are they so hard to find?? Ohhh well.

I've come up with only two things I want for my birthday. [1] A vintage bicycle or beach cruiser even a low-rider would be kinda nifty, preferably with a banana seat and maybe a basket. I definitely want a bell too. Something practical, not too steezy. [2] LV Damier Speedy 25 bag. Not a huge fan of LV but I've always liked the speedy/doctor bag steez so that's the one I want. (wink-wink jr) You know what my sister says about Jr?! She feels bad for him because I'm spoiled and expensive. HAHA, bitch. Jk lovemysissy. Gift cards always work, cash mahney is most definitely appreciated. And that is that.

Well, I haven't planned anything and I don't really think I will. If I had really wanted to, I would've started brainstorming last month. So I'm taking it as a sign that I don't really feel like doing anything big for my 23rd birthday. Such an ugly number anyway. But who knows, I can always change my mind.

I had two midterms yesterday. As for how well I did.. that's still up in the air! I didn't study at all this weekend. Too busy doing nothing and I'm soooo lazy. Buck up buddy!! Video games have ruined my life :\ I tried to caption the pictures from Saturday night but I got too lazy to even do that. There's too many and they're all of the same 10 people. But still funny to look at.

THEY JUST GOT ENGAGED ON FRIDAY!! OMG. That is so nuts. My first close friend to get married. I can't wait for the wedding. Can't believe you guys got a wedding date already: July 19, 2008!! Damn. Well, I love you both and I'm soooooo happy for you Joyceeee. No more cracy, huh??? And are you gonna have Royal Mandarin cater your wedding??? HAHA! Congratulations again you two.

Weekend was pretty busy and I didn't get any studying done. Argh :\ but that's my fault. I'm gonna cram it all in my head tomorrow before my midterms. So wish me luck please. I even left my DS at Jr's so I wouldn't be tempted to play it. I wish I had more willpower, haha.

Soo Friday was April's housewarming party. We got there around 8:30 and I thought we were late. We were practically the first ones there! Ha, shoulda known better. I got Apes & Stanks the essentials that I thought they could appreciate: toilet paper, paper towels, water, and coke.. of course in bulk. Costco is great. Thanks April for all the food and especially for getting wiiiings! Yes I ate meat on a Friday, please forgive me Big Guy :] Saw Ginet & Celeste for the first time since probably Christmas?? I miss you girls!! Basically a chill night.

As for Saturday, it was crrrrrackin at Excelsior. Toe-Knee is a popular guy and Mr. Popular got bottle service. Thanks for refilling my cranberry grey goose. I thought I drank a lot but not enough to forget what happened that night. Mark your calendars cause it was the first time I drank Jack. BLEH!! Peer pressure. Well, it wasn't that bad actually. It creeps up on you though. Hmm, warm tummy. A "sooper dooper" good time. One word though: roundhouse. HAHAHA that's all. Loveyah EMO!!

Annnnd today I came over to Jr's early this morning, shoulda just slept over. We napped, showered, napped, and then went over to Grill & Grind @ the Workshop for some free burgers. Tasted so good in my empty stomach. I even ate two. Heffer status.

Nothing much going on in my world. Went to dinner with the Mysters last night at Round Table Pizza. One tomato, one mushroom, and one with tons of meat!! Ordered a grip of food. Couldn't eat meat last night because DUH! Ash Wednesday!! Went to church at Good Shepherd and it was soooooooooooooooooo freaking crowded, like insanely packed. Bah! This year I'm giving up fast food, so no more McDonald's or Taco Bell for me (and most likely him too, suckah!)

Since Jr got his cartridge we've been playing Mario Kart a whole lot. I'd say I win almost half the time if not more. Be careful of this guy cause he plays dirty. He'll hit you with a shell and then run into you making it harder to get going again. But it's okay, good always prevails over evil :] AND I WIIIIIN!

We bought new books again on Tuesday. He's already done with his Freakonomics whereas I'm stuck on Chapter 5. Maan, I just don't have time to read. Plus, he can read more syllables much faster than me according to Brain Age's "Read Aloud."

Ok think this is sufficient reading material for you adults at work. Back to doing whatever I please because the coffee shop is dead empty. Yesssss love it this way. I get so much more done this way.

Something Borrowed

The title of the book I'm currently reading. Yet to finish the Hilary Clinton autobiography. It's been tucked inside my drawer at Jr's house. And yes, he cleaned out my very own drawer at his house a loonngg time ago. Doesn't really matter cause I leave so much of my junk there.. extra contact case, deoderant, moisterizer, shampoo & conditioner, jammies, text books, etc. I am a total slob at his house. But here at mi casa? Clean as a whistle! Haha, sorry papabear.

Anyway, the book is good so far. We went to Borders Sunday night instead of going to HOB (sorry brotherbear!). I was totally scrubbed out anyway. I was deciding between two books to get: this one and Running with Scissors. But I guess that will be my next purchase. As for Jr, he's reading Freakonomics... err something like that.

Well, since everyone's been blogging about traveling might as well let you in on our plans. I definitely wanna go to San Francisco, but we wanna go somewhere we've never been. And the perfect place would be CHICAGO! I think it'd be a lot of fun. And of course he wants to catch a Bulls home game. So we're thinking the last week of March (my spring break) and hopefully getting tickets to the Pistons/Bulls game (yeh sheed). But it's just a thought and nothing official..yet. Hope it goes through :] I love traveling because really it means SHAPPIN!

Anywaise (eew). New Years was a lot of fun. Lunch was delicious!! Excess honey walnut shrimp means leftovers for the misters. I got a lot more money than I thought I would! Thanks fam. Then we gambled afterwards.. my absolute favorite game: Bau Ca Tom Cua translation: Lucky Chess. Basically it's like roulette, kinda. In the sense you pick an animal and place your bets. Roll some dice and if yer animal comes up you win! Colin had beginner's luck and was winning every time. He'd point his little finger in the air triumphantly. SO FREAKING ADORABLE. I love my Colinboo.

I really wanted to go to South Coast today but the rain spoiled our plans. I really really want to go to Beverly Center to go to H&M!! But if I wanna go to Chi-town, I better save my mahneys. Blah. And note to self: get kickin on that homework cause midterms next week and I am goin out Friday & Saturday!! SOOO GET TO IT MISSY!!

Sunny Day

The weather is so nice today. I wore a short sleeve sweater and wasn't cold at all! I love HOT weather, but I hate to sweat. Yucks. Last night, the game was really good. PH 2 played so well together and PH 1 could not get it together. Jeez, couldn't even let the birthday boy win?!! Afterwards we went out to eat at Applebee's. Happy hour is good there, except I didn't even order anything from the happy hour menu. Stayed there till closing time trying to get a story out of Jr and his number one FAN, Tgay. Boys can be so dumb. "Define naked." "Define friend." Define this, define that... dude, just buy a dictionary. Haha but it was pretty fun.

As for tonight, me and Jr are supposed to go to dinner with his parents for his bday. And then chill or whatever is going down. Tomorrow I hope to go shappin!! And then maybe a movie and of course, Jr's birthday partay. I know you're excited. See you all there amigos.

More like a thank-you ToeKnee for hookin it up fatty. Don't be jealous Stanks, we'll double soon enough (that is when you guys are officially together!) Cheeburger Cheeburger was awesome. Great atmosphere, yummy food, and sweet service. We all totally pigged out! Got all these extras that we probably wouldn't get had we not had George's money. Milkshakes and shake-a-sodas, frings basket, and chicken strips! Oh my! This place gets two thumbs up. (And very reasonably priced!)

6 Get seated in our own specially reserved area.. bracelet and special sticker thingy that means "GIVE ME FREE ALCOHOL ALL NIGHT LONG." Honestly the best view ever. Up close with the option of sitting any time I wanted.

Weekends Were Made For Fun

Last night was so. much. fun! Ate dinner at Potstickers in Carmel Mtn. with that other half & half couple, the Nguyens. That place was goood. Haven't had sit-down Chinese food in so long. Walnut shrimp was delicious!!! What I really wanna try next time is Cheeburger Cheeburger, this new restaurant next door that looks like Corvette Diner or The Max. Let's go Mysters!!!

Went to Borders afterwards to wait for some peoples and ended up looking at wedding magazines. Freakin Stank. Jeez, can someone get married already???? I want to go to a wedding!! We finally left and TK dropped me and Jr back home cause they were going out downtown. And we actually stuck to what we said we were going to do... Homework & Zelda! I love lounging :]

Guess we're going to The Roots concert on Monday, VIP style. Really excited for this one cause we can actually sit while we watch The Roots with an unobstructed view!! Plus a $40 dinner voucher and FREE FREE FREE drinks??? O-M-G, going to be lots o fun. Can't wait!!

February Is Being Good To Me.

So I had a midterm this morning for my Race & Ethnicity in Politics class. It was bullshit. Yes, I don't attend class often and when I do I like to cut out early or do other things while she's yappin... but the woman didn't provide any kind of information about our midterm except that it was today. Who does that??? I talked to a few of my fellow classmates and they were just as dumbfounded as I was. She was asking for 3-4 pages on our essay questions. 3-4 PAGES?! What the.. And now I think she'll think I'm a racist because I called "whites" a lot of supremacists and basically went on a racist tirade for a good page and a half. HA! Well, it's all philosophical if you ask me and there's no right or wrongs. Except she did ask us to include references from her lectures or our course readings.. which I didn't do. But whatevs! Hopefully I just throw her off and she grades easy or the I'm above the curve. Hope for the best, expect the worst :]

THREE GREAT THINGS ABOUT FEBRUARY:
1 Valentine's Day, duh. This year I've got me a good one, so no matter what we do will be spectacular! Just the fact that Jr is into it this time around is good news to me :]
2 Jr's Birthday on the 15th. The mans turns 24 "which is almost 25, which is almost mid-twenties." Birthday present: CHECK! But I'll probably hook him up with some other goodies (ps. refer to ciara's song "my goodies").
3 NEW YEAR'S BABY = cash mahneys. Which is a great thing because I'm low on flow and those little red envelopes couldn't be coming at a better time. My family says I'm getting too old to get money but like I say all the time during this time and Christmas is: "Hey as long as I'm not married, I should be getting presents." Sounds like a good compromise to me!

Last night was a Purple Haze double header, except only 1/2 PH Teams played. I guess them Beya-beyas got scurred and didn't show up for their game last night. All the guys decided to scrimmage against each other and boy did they take that shit seriously. I thought it was just for fun too. I got to play scorekeeper and I swear every other second someone was yelling at me. "STOP THE TIME!" "ADD 3 POINTS!" Jeez people, I'm not a professional. And Chris kept trying to trick me to give him 4 points. Almost worked too, haha. Final score after playing for 40 minutes and 5 minutes overtime: 106 to 106. Haha I'm glad it ended in a tie cause I wouldn't wanna deal with any bitter bears or crybabies, haha.

Ok this is long enough. I should do something productive, like play my DS!

Superbowl Sunday was better than I expected, minus a few troubles :\ . Didn't really pay too much attention to the game. Only looked up from my DS when everyone started screaming. Soo loud! Was rooting for the Bears for Josepine's sake, but too bad so sad.. they lost :(

Then we watched American Idol (DVR rules) and boy was that hilarious. Made me laugh so hard. Haha even made me cry (i'm pathetic, and thanks jenny for letting the whole world know >:\ ) Old people man...

And of course, they had to break out the karaoke. Um I agree with Simon when he says "I'm 1000% NO!" Haha! Oh well, good times had by all. I drank so much I fell right to sleep as soon as I got home and woke up refreshed!! Yay.

Went to the Clippers vs. Bulls game on Wednesday. Staples Center is teeny-tiny! We were pretty close to the players and right behind the basket. Although the Bulls lost, Hinrich played a good game and that's basically why we went to go watch. My first sporting event experience was perfect! Got my foam finger (expect to see it at Purple Haze games)! Had great seats! Got those blow-up-noise-maker thingies! Yelled out ridiculous things (you know how I like to do that, haha, I couldn't resist here)! And even saw a fight in the stands that was right by us! Pretty gnarly. Overall, a fantastic day with the misters.

Then we came home and senkyou DVR for recording the finale of Top Chef. I was soo tired that I fell asleep before they announced the winner but I do remember hearing them say it was ILAN! Muahaha. Jr hates the guy so my initial perception of him has been skewed. Grr for being an influential person in my life. Ilan just gets less cute every time he opens his mouth and says something nasty about Marcel. Not cool man. Probably a fluke that Ilan won, but whatever. I really wanted Elia to win. I liked her.

Speaking of tv shows, didja catch the new episode of GILMORE GIRLS on Tuesday??? OMG, it was soo good. I was crying by the end when Richard has a heart attack. Sooo sad! Old people will forever have a soft spot in my heart.. Can't wait till next week's episode :]

After looking all day for DS's for Althea and Raelynn, we checked out the Target in MM and whatdoyahknow... THE LAST FREAKING WII and it's all mine, I mean his. We got two games: Wario and Zelda. WII Sports is a lot of fun too! He kicked my ass at tennis, but I like to think I give him a good run for his money! Besides I'm better at golf. Anyway, Happy early Birthday Papa Bear :)

Dangerously In Love

... With my DS!!! I was driving home today in traffic and bright idea! I'll play my DS while driving in traffic. Brilliant huh? Well, while in bumper-to-bumper traffic I was in the middle of a Brain Age test and all of a sudden BAM! BRAKE LIGHTS IN MY FACE and too close for comfort. My body was in shock for over 30 seconds because it really was a close call. Jeezus... I nearly died all because of my new found addiction to my DS. So I swore to myself never ever do that again. Haha. Just a heads up to you DS owners.. don't do it.

Another thing.. you know what's annoying??? People who have ambiguous license plates. I mean, you pay extra money (and I think it's an additional fee every year with registration) to show off this license plate and then the person behind you staring at the ass of your car is completely confused and dumbfounded because you (the knucklehead) decided to get RENUGDE or PUGLEVR or DOBLEDN etc. I hate that! Why even get a personalized license plate??? So what if YOU'RE the only one who gets it??? YOU'RE not the one looking at it, trying to decipher it's secret message. Bah! We really should pass legislation to ban ambiguous license plate. Really.

Ladies and gents, as of last night...
I AM OFFICIALLY THE OWNER OF ALL 6 SEASONS OF THE BEST TELEVISION SHOW EVER. And obviously, that would be GILMORE GIRLS. Did you catch the new episode last night???? I looove that show :] Number 1 fan foreva.

I also bought a used DONKEY KONG COUNTRY (for gameboy advance) last night. I used to love this game when I was a kid and playing it now brings back good memories. And I even went geek status (like my better half) and researched the game online and found cheat codes. Haha!! One of them was for 50 free lives. Yeh baby!! This game is awesome :]

I hate work when I actually HAVE to work. It was a half day at school today and all the high school hooligans were in the store buying drinks nonstop. Had to handle the rush all by myself :( I barely got to sit down and hang out with Lai and Alvin. Boo. Argh. So tired..

Today I was driving and the radio was actually playing some good jams. Like Warren G's Regulator, my favorite Michael Jackson songs (PYT & Butterflies), Ciara's Promise (love it), and some Tribe. I like songs that manage to fit 3-syllable words or are vocab heavy. Like Warren G: "Let me contemplate". Or even Nelly Furtado: "Promiscuous Girl!" (haha secretly written about Elainne) And of course Tribe is always down with the higher education. Gotta start downloading again cause my iPod mysteriously erased every single song I had, which was over 3,000 songs. Boo to you.

And in class today, I scanned over my planner and I have a midterm on Monday already! Jeez Louise, I didn't even realize it. Guess I'll have to miss the Purple Haze game on Monday. Speaking of Purple Haze, good try last night. I think I've seen you guys play a lot better but you'll get em next time!!! But you know what team is better than both Purple Haze A & B?? PINK FOG! So today is happyday because Jr got me a NINTENDO DS LITE (thankyou-thankyou-thankou). The bundle pack from Costco, comes with: a carrying case, lanyard, glow-in-the-dark stylus, and Super Mario Bros. I already ordered my new DS skin in ice blue aka aquamarine aka hella cute. Can't wait to pictochat and beat Jr at all the games we currently own. (btw, i already am beating him in a few games)

I Hate Early Morning Classes.

It's not even that early. 930am. But I can't even drag myself out of bed early enough to shower, get dressed & get ready and be on time for this class. I have been half an hour late every time (so far). I didn't even go to bed that late! I hate early classes. Anything before 10am is too freaking early for me.

But my Polisci class is pretty interesting. Race & Ethnicity in Politics. A little annoying at times because no matter what, I always get defensive when a white person talks about asians in any way. All I can say is that I can't wait till 2008 Presidential Elections. History in the making people!!

I was walking to AS Reserves and it was freee-eee-zing. And along the way I saw a white girl wearing what probably was I assume an A&F sweater with a short pleated skirt... LEG WARMERS WITH SANDALS. What. on. earth?? I swear that is such a huge pet peeve. Girls and sometimes guys who do not dress appropriately for the weather. SANDALS IN THE RAIN?! That is just nasty. Haha. Ok I'll stop. (Mental note: buy gloves from Target)

So I had to walk to ASR to buy my course reader for my Polisci class, thinking in my head it'll be about $40 bucks max. After waiting in line for over 20 minutes, I finally get to the window, tell the guy my class, and he comes back with a GINORMOUS packet. I mean like Calculus/Ochem BIG. And of course without thinking I say, "HOLY SHIT." I'm sure he agreed with me. I had to wave my hand to stop him and ask, "How much is that?!??!" ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (of my own freaking money that I currently don't even possess = overdraft fees). I reluctantly hand over my Mastercard and pout the rest of the way back to my car. The saddest walk of my life. (haha)

Is That All There Is?

Just a few quick updates and then I'll leave you be.

1 I lost Pillie's clothes. I accidentally left it at the hotel. And since me and Jr had to leave super early and at the time everyone was still sleeping and groaned at the sight of sunlight, we couldn't open the blinds or turn on the lights. So collecting our belongings was rushed and we had to wing it. TOO BAD FOR ME because now Pillie will forever be naked. I want a new pillie, hmph. Bye-bye my aquamarine sateen.

2 Jr FINALLY got his Nintendo DS Lite (thank God). After searching all over the state of California, he finally got it today at Best Buy. I swear we are in that store at least once or twice a week. True story because one of the worker bees recognized us and mentioned how we're in there a lot. Can't help it really.

3 I noticed that my tv is out of commission. Not that it doesn't work, just that I don't watch tv at all. I only watch DVDS now. And guess which ones..?? Wellllll, GG and SATC duh!!! Haha! I love those shows, I'll never get sick of them, they will be forever entertaining... no need for tv anymore. Except to watch new episodes of GG. I am a reformed television-aholic.

4 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIFF. Have a great 24th. (happy Joycee?)

5 I start school on Monday. Sadface. But I get to see Justin Timberlake that night!!! The only thing I'm looking forward to!!!! Sorry boys, won't be there to cheer you on at AIU. Good luck though. GO TEAM A! Errrr, whatever team Jr is on. And it doesn't matter which Jr cause they're on the same team :)

Two Thousand Seven

First off, I'd like to send a shoutout to the bff JAYO-MAYO!! HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY King Generous :] Have a fantastic day and hopefully I'll see you tonight. Yehhhhh.

Second, it's probably expected that I reflect upon my 2006 but I have the worst memory ever. God, growing old sucks. Probably the best thing about 2006 that I can actually recall is Mr. Laguna. Finally getting together and it completely living up to all my expectations. Yay!

Thirdly, my very first New Years out and about with the mans was GREAT. Although, it wasn't what we were expecting I still had sooo much fun. What a way to start off the New Year. Got to do the countdown with Jr and of course the midnight kiss (ha!). Getting totally soaked by Chris and Josie and then watching Josie get all up on the floor trying to bust balloons. Leaving the party early to start our own private party in the interracial room only to be surprised with George and Suze already in there. HAHA! Then staying up the whole night: laughing, reenactments, talking with Josie, walking to 711, looking for TJ's car, making coffee, and hanging out in the stairwell smoking. I had a ball.

As for New Year's Resolutions:
1 Go to all my classes (unless something important comes up)
2 Lose weight/workout whatevers (probably won't last, but I'll try)
3 Kill 'em with kindness :)

Legendary Status

Last night me and Jr watched Pursuit of Happyness and guess who graced us with his presence. LT # 21 OF THE CHARGERS!! Haha I say it as if you didn't know who he was. Pretty cool huh.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

This was by far, the best Christmas I've had in a looongg time. Couldn't have been possible without my family, my friends, and the bf. Yaaay for the holidays! I still want to go on that horse-drawn sleigh & outdoor ice skating misters!!

First off, I usually dread going to Christmas eve mass with my parents at a church 30 minutes from our house in east side San Diego where the pews have no tooshie cushions and a trilingual mass (english-spanish-vietnamese) which always prolongs the service. But it wasn't all that bad. I actually didn't mind singing the 10 Christmas songs and the different languages. The 2 hour mass went by rather quickly.

On Christmas day, we always have a huge lunch at my house with really good food. And today was no exception. Turkey, mashed potatoes, prime rib, chicken wings, etc. Delicious!! To top it off, my secret santa got me my mary jane wedges that I've been searching for all over southern California. I could've sworn they were sold out but my aunt found them for me!! Super awesome surprise. And watching Colin and Cara open presents that me and Jr got them was really sweet. I love those kids.

At night me and my sister watched Holiday. Not a huge fan of any of the actors in the movie, but it was way better than I expected. Really cute movie. Probably the Love Actually for this year. So you should consider watching it. I still haven't watched the Will Smith movie, boo.

I HOPE I DON'T HAVE WORK TOMORROW!! Cross your fingers. I want to go shopping all damn day. And I can't wait till New Years!

Rock-Paper-Scissors Queen

I don't like to brag, but there is one thing I can dominate at and that is playing best out of 3 Rock-Paper-Scissors. I can usually get my way with anybody by convincing them to what seems like a challenge, but ultimately I ALWAYS WIN. Well, I don't want to say always and then jinx my good fortune but I seem to win a lot.

For example, when at work I usually play my co-worker RPS (acronyms gotta love the time-saver) for our whole pitcher of tips. And I usually walk out with a pocket full of cash. In fact yesterday, I convinced James to play me for who has to take out the trash by themselves (a rather tiring task if performed by oneself). And guess who was the chump who had to make the walk of shame to the dumpster? J Mahney. Muahahaha. I pity the fool who dares me to a game :]

Although publishing this post and being readily available to all my friends, I'm sure they'll want to challenge me. Knowing how twisted this life can be and how quickly luck can change.. I'll most likely lose. Grr. I hate to lose. My competitive nature is known to all and usually applies to anything in my life. Haha.

Another example, Jr and I like to play board games with each other once in awhile. From a game of Life to chess to Guess Who and our current favorite, Outburst Remix. I swear I've played every game with this guy and I HAVE YET TO WIN. Yeah I won ONE game of Life, but really.. is that something to brag about??? I think I've won a few times at Guess Who, but the skill to win at this game isn't much. It all goes back to that fateful night in Vegas after Tryst where I challenged him to a game of chess. Thinking "he's pretty darn cute and probably drunk as hell and I think Michaelren has been a pretty good chess mentor... how can I not win this game???" To my dismay, I lost.. bad. Don't be fooled my friends, he's more than just a pretty face (haha)... the guy's got substance. But now he's my boyfriend and I usually get my way with anything except for board games. ARGH!! At least I'm learning to lose gracefully...

Yay for winter vacation! Although, my break started earlier than a lot of you. Sorry for you graduates, who are full-fledged adults. No breaks for you!! Muahaha. Anyway, the weekend was exciting and busy. Lai's semi-surprise birthday party @ TGI's. Ohmygosh, you guys are getting old. 24?!!! Jeezus. I stayed home Friday night and tried to finish up the nurses' graduation presents. Too bad I finished it late in the night and didn't have the time to wrap it up the next morning. Sorry nurses, it's nothing huge though so don't get your hopes up :] It's the thought that counts. Riight??

Then come Saturday I was running really late for their pinning ceremony, on E the whole way down (and no it's not what you think alvin & donna!! dorks) and my poor car was struggling. Luckily, the ceremony started way late so what was I worrying so much for? The reception afterwards was pretty nice. Decent food and the cake was so delicious that I had two slices. Left early cause Alvin said they make you pay $7 for the first hour and additional money for the following hours. Have no fear, I swindled them valet fools and only paid $7 bucks for 3 hours. Deal or no deal?.. definitely a deal!!

Went to Joyce's family party in the hood later that night. Salted pepper wings were better than I remember!!! And that's all I ate, haha. Probably not a good idea cause I didn't feel great at the club :[ Went to On Broadway and paid $15!!! Argh I hate that place. And why was there a line to get into an empty room?? Gad all that standing made me crazy nauseous and I had to sit down.. somewhere, anywhere. Even if it was the floor, haha. Sorry gals that I wanted to leave early. But I would've been perfectly fine sleeping in the car.. and much happier I might add. I just did not feel good at all. Sawree..

And on Sunday me and the mans went to breakfast at Ihop and then went up to South Coast to get some Christmas shopping done. We were very productive. Jr hated it though cause it was soooooooo crowded. But I loved it! Favorite mall ever. Got a lot of our family peoples down and he bought me my gift. YAYAYAYAYAYA senkyouverymuch boyfriend, I LOVE THEM!!! Sporting the ponytail forever now ;]

To sum it up, it was a good weekend.

Myspace is perhaps the greatest source of entertainment. My pet peeve is when people have pictures of JUST THEMSELVES because normally, everyone takes pictures alone??? Riiight. Granted, you may look cute in the picture but jeezus.. it's annoying. Unless you're doing something abnormally funny or you're doing something dumb, it's okay. But the "look-at-me-smiling-all-by-myself" picture?? Gets a bit redundant. I guess the whole point is to put up pictures where you look awesome, so I mean yeah sure put that solo pic up. But could it be any more generic?? Ohmahgod. But it is quite entertaining and makes me chuckle, so keep on truckin'.

I Wish I Was At Home...

But alas, I am not. I'm stuck in this god forsaken hell-hole, otherwise known as clics. Everyone is hustling, everyone is bustling. Stuck on one problem for what seems like forever, but in actuality about an hour and a half. I HATE CALCULUS. You know what I say?? Calculus-shmaculus. I wish I was at home in the comfort of my own bed, under the covers, and watching either Gilmore Girls or Harry Potter. (haha yes, Harry Potter) I recently purchased the whole collection for a mere $16. Whatta steal!

Tonight's Tender Surrender's championship game @ 730. Luckily, for you folk.. I might show face. Thank the misters for that because he just got DVR. A wonderful invention and a prime investment. So now we don't have to fight over the remote control because wa-lah! We can record whatever program we choose at whatever time because... we can. DVR is awesome. Anyway, he'll be recording GG for me tonight and I won't miss a thing! It's like being Hermione in Harry Potter # 4 where she can time travel with her trusty little pocket watch.

Insomniac

On Sunday, my bebe Cara was rushed to the emergency room because my godson Colin accidentally chucked a flashlight at Cara's head. Poor kid. They actually admitted her meaning she was in a hospital gown and in a hospital bed. But she was a trooper! They even had to staple her head! That is so gnarly. I LOVE MY BEBES!!!

So with her recent injuries, she couldn't get her hair wet so today she was forced into wearing a shower cap. My sister and I flattered her with the "ohh, you look so pretttty" comments. But Colin saw her, pointed and laughed. She got insecure and insisted on taking it off. Those little mongrels crack me up.

I cannot wait till WEDNESDAY!

What a way to start off a shitty morning... I was supposed to open at 545 am today, but for some reason my alarm didn't go off and I woke up at 630am. Grr. So I was super late! Not only that but I don't have the key to the back office and I tripped like 5 times over these stupid mats we have in the front. Working-woes... woe is me.

The only bright side is getting off early and hanging out with the mans alllll day. Shopping for Christmas gifts, errands, and then December Nights @ Balboa Park. Yaaay. If anyone's interested, you know who to call.

I got tickets to 93.3's Holiday Show this Wednesday December 6th. THANK YOU MIKEY, LOVE YOU! Pussycat Dolls and other lame acts but who cares. They're free tickets!!! What a way to celebrate my last day of schooooool :]

I'm Taking A Sick Day

I just finished my first complete season of Gilmore Girls, which I lovingly refer to as GG. Rory is my hero :] I don't care what anybody says about my show. It is the awesome-ist. "It's my thing, let it go."

Happy Belated Birthday to GINET!! Souplantation was better than I expected. Pizza and Asiago Cesar Salad = yums! Miss piggies arriving on time, in fact we were EARLY! Sorry I was starving, I had to eat. And the restaurant manager?? I think he has a crush on you Ginet.

Yay for Secret Santas. So many wishlists to make, so little things to think of receiving. You think being a self-proclaimed shopaholic I would have shopping on the mind and have an endless list of things I want stored in the back of my brain.. sadly, no. I don't. And coming up with reasonable presents is very hard. Apparently, everyone says I'm picky? Am I really? Haha. The consensus says yesss.

As much as I love receiving gifts, I love-love-love gift giving. Especially when it's a really, really good present that I know they'll absolutely love.. the best happy butterflies in the tummy. So let's splurge.. (after a couple paychecks that is)

I'm Stuffed

Happy Thanksgiving friends & family.
Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful lunch/dinner. As usual, Thanksgiving was celebrated at my house and all the relatives are forced to suffer through the holiday traffic. Muahaha. My mom is bossy! Anyway turkey and prime rib was delissssh. "Too many cooks in the kitchen." Definitely sums up my lunchtime.

Jr bought a new game supposedly for me called Viva Pinata. It's a cross between The Sims and Animal Crossing. I thought I wouldn't get into it, but I am soo addicted. Yesterday I played it for 2 hours straight and we missed the lunch special at Seoul BBQ. So the misters was pretty bummed about not getting his bulgogi. But I made it up to him. We went to Korea House instead! So there. Personally, I like that place a lot better. Happy Anniversary papabear!

Sunny Days

What's up with this 80 degree weather? I thought it was Fall. Blah-di-bleh, whatevs. I is not mad. (fully aware) Anyway not much to blog about. So I'll just post pictures. Cheater.


Last week, me and the misters went to Huntington Beach/Costa Mesa/Orange County. The beach actually had some pretty good stores. You can probably compare it to our Pacific Beach's Garnet Avenue. But look at that view! So prettttty (gag)

Lady In Red (My Color Of The Moment)

Everyone and their mom owns a blog now. Love it cause it makes the time go by fast and boredom seems like a faraway notion. That is until I realized I've read everyones' blogs, I've already updated mine, I've gotten my Myspace fix, and there's no one online to chit-chat with. So what do I do except be bored? Most times I'm either at school or work. Should I actually get some shit accomplished i.e. do homework or clean the shop? Well now that would be very unlike me. And we wouldn't want that to happen now, would we? Although, I do wish I had season 2 of Lost in my possession at all available times because I'd much rather watch tv than finish my aforementioned duties.

My daily online rituals consist of (in this order):
+ checking Gmail
+ checking Hotmail (my UCSD emails get forwarded here)
+ friends' blogs (joyce, rach, neil, fatch, apes, stanks)
+ thehundreds.com
(just because I enjoy bobbyhundreds' blogs and find them pretty entertaining, not because I'm in search of an all-over paisley print hoodie or other streetwear/steezy shit)
+ myspace (my online version of Us Weekly of people we actually know)
+ sign on to AIM and post an away msg (because now they allow you to send msgs even while away, amazing!)
+ check wamu to see how deep in debt I am and how I'll perpetually be in dire need of advanced cash flow.
+ various online shopping websites (gotta stay up on good deals)
+ ebay (click All My Favorites)

It's by the end of this time that I'm desperately searching for more reading material. But it's so hard to find a good read with a small amount of grammar mistakes because that stuff just makes me click the X-tab and exit. So I hope I'm encouraging more friends to create blogs to have an outlet for ranting/complaining/shoving opinions down our throats and if for any other reason, just to keep me entertained and prevent me from doing anything productive. Senkyou.

Wish I Was Sleeping...

One midterm over, one more to go!! Just trying to cram-o-rama at the dining hall near my class. Got some pizza for lunch and rewarded myself with the last episode of Laguna Beach that I've missed. It was the prom one. Aww those guys have some good ideas for asking girls out. But Jr Laguna is way sweeter and ultra corny. Ha!

Ohmygod I am sooo tired. I can't wait to go home and sleeeeep. Midterms suck. Cramming sucks. I wish I was better prepared and studied waaay beforehand, but what can I do now? Just hope for the best and cross my fingers.

3 Day Weekend!!

Yay for Veteran's Day!

It's official. I finally ordered my NEW FM transmitter today and Jr is picking it up later. Sah-weeeet. Just in time for our mini road trip. No more Akon, no more "does your chain hang low"... and so on. So excited to listen to my ipod again!!

I guess karma isn't always a bitch. Yesterday at Shalihe's birthday dinner at Tajima's (new location) we hit up the vending machines for those cute, little Winnie the Pooh charms. A freaking dollar for those things?!? But anyway... I kept saying how I really wanted the octopusssssy version cause it was cute and aquamarine (my favorite color). On my first try I got the clear jellyfish, apparently the most sought after Pooh charm since we went there last time. Little Juli was screaming in my ear for it and I was like "here, you can have it." And she was deliriously happy. So I stole another four quarters from Apes' car (btw, thanks bff haha) and went back to the machine and dontcha know! I GOT MY OCTOPUSSSSSY. That is some good ass karma. Even if it's only for those itty bitty thingies which I'll probably lose within a week.

As for my weekend:
[FRIDAY] Road trippin' with my favorite ally.
And hopefully a little studying at night.

[SATURDAY] Opening in the morning till 11AM.
Meet up with Rach @ Geisel to study hard.
Excelsior? Most likely NOT. 3 weeks in a row?? I don't think so.

Nerd Status!

I am so tired of the garbage they play on the radio. I swear I hear that Akon guy or that stupid Superman song 20 billion times a day! My index finger gets so much exercise from changing stations constantly. AAAH! I want a new monster cable PRONTO!

I have 3 cd's shuffling in my car: [1] Justin Timberlake - Future Sex/Love Sounds [2] Danity Kane [3] Dipset mix cd. I love all 3, but I can't always be listening to My Love or Showstoppin or Dip-dip-DIPSET all the damn time.

A few handy solutions that might be helpful are: [1] invest money towards purchasing new/classic albums [2] buy a new ipod cable [3] shoot every radio djay that plays awful music. Numero tres sounds like the best idea yet. Anyone know where I can get a gun??

Other than that, life is gooood. Besides the impending doom otherwise known as MIDTERMS that are going to kick my ass next Monday. BLAH I NEED TO STUDY. I was supposed to study all weekend. Saturday I had planned to go to Geisel with Rachel, but I went to Orange County with my parents instead. Grr. Then on Sunday, I was having a particularly bummy day so I did what I usually do on a super bummy day: stay in bed, in my pajamas, ALL DAY, and just watch comfort movies and eat comfort food.

My favorite pick-me-up movies are: Notting Hill, Bridget Jones, Serendipity, A Cinderella Story, and Family Stone plus Sex and the City. Even though I normally don't enjoy chocolate as much as everyone else does, I like to indulge myself a bit and eat oreos. And that is what I do when I'm feeling emo. Ha! I should've started studying last night, but I couldn't help but fall asleep at Jr's. Doesn't help that I do homework on his comfy bed with pillie right by my side because that equation is just begging me to SLEEP-SLEEP-SLEEP. And I did! Shame on me! Must study tonight. I don't think GG is new so that's good.

Okay back to the usual: do homework at work. BTW, we're hiring!!!

Addicted to LOST now!! On season 1 disc 4 Episode ?? But whatevers, it's good. I like how they're all distantly connected! Damn the cliffhangers. Anyway I wish I had money so I could go shopping :[ Being poor is not fun. I raided the bebes' candy stash and I found a 100 Grand chocolate thingy. I've never had one till today and it's yum! Caramel and crackles! Yummers! But too bad it wasn't really 100 grand $$$ ka-ching, ka-ching! I don't know what's up for the weekend but I do know I need to get a whole lotta homeworking done.

So halloween's passed and now we're in full swing holiday season. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day, My Birthday (MARCH6TH!! haha). Can't wait! Girls are already planning ThankYou dinner! You guys are speedy gonzales, forreal.

School is ending very-very-verrrry soon and I really-really-really need to get studying!! Muy serioso. Blah, I hate school. I really do have ADD or selective hearing. Either way, I can't concentrate.
